I have decided to make a patch for sauerbraten to covert the official package
to the latest as of 1/28/08 CVS
"NOTE the cvs is the development version stuff may be party broken or not working at all and may be unstable this is what the dev works from I AM NOT INVOLVED IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FROM WITH SAUERBRATEN DEVELOPMENT OR THE DEV TEAM AND I DON'T EXACTLY HAVE PERMISSION TO MAKE THESE PATCHES SO IF YOU USE THIS AND IT BORKS UP YOUR SYSTEM OR YOU HAVE ISSUE WITH IT DON'T ASK FOR ANY HELP FROM ME OR ESPECIALLY THE DEV TEAM I WILL TRY TO TEST EACH PATCH TO MAKE SURE NOTHING MAJOR IS BORKED BUT U S E AT YOUR OWN RISK NONE OF THE DEV TEAM WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THIS PATCH THAT I CAN ASSURE YOU I will make sure the windows bins are up to date as more mac and linux support if you can compile go ahead the cvs bins are in the patch other wise your out a luck

* added support for environment-mapped water reflections as a cheap fallback
*added movement smoothing for other players in multiplayer (reduce's jumpiness from packet loss)
*added "fullbrightmodels" var for controlling fullbright-ness of player models
* added MD5 support with new skeletal animation system
* added new decal system for bullet holes, scorch marks, etc.

Installing
1. backup your old sauerbraten install folder and cfgs before doing anything

2.unzip into your sauerbraten folder and say yes to over writing the old stuff delete your config.cfg and your int.cfg and remove your autoexec.cfg as well if needed
run the sauerbraten.bat
this is working with multiplayer atm as for more patchs we will we what happens with this
I did this just a a toy for those who what to be on the bleeding edge of sauerbraten development and as a toy for my self "NO ONE ONE THE DEV TEAM WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT END OF DISCUSSION AND I AM NOT INVOLVED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM"
