Is it possible, taking in account Cube fixed rendering pipeline, to add some effects to water surfaces using GL_ATI_fragment_shader?
What do you think?
Preferrably without glCopyTexImage/FBO used by reflect and refract, because its not accelerated/supported by Linux DRI.
I own Radeon 8500 and would like to code a small hack to refresh rusty OpenGL skills.

Well, I hope that something more intense can be coded, in the style of what Sauerbraten do on more modern cards.
There also significant visual artefacts I see in current implementation.
And it slows DRI drivers down to 4fps playing Thor.

Is it some kind of forum database corruption that closes the threads for no aparent reason?
