I imagine this idea will probably go over like a lead balloon but here goes;
In the quest to make competitive game characters its a difficult road to traverse singlehandedly. Large companies have many people to work together to make the art. There isn't much chance of a hobbyist to compete steadily. So why bother? What if there were a template for the game characters in Eisenstern? What if instead of trying to produce top-of-the-line game characters there were another direction? Here is my proposal.

This is a quick sketch. But you get the idea.

Sounds like a good idea, and I can definitly imagine having all characters with that "rayman" style.
Also saves a lot of time to leave out the joints, and it makes parts switchable with a simple md3.cfg change and proper tags.
In fact I think this style could even be applied to the FPS.

It would absolutly rock to have some real-time physics to animate the capes and such on those characters though.
