radeon 9000 help??? |

i have a radeon 9000 pro and anytime i use it with any drivers sauerbraten\'s fps drops to 4
how can i get better fps?

9600 is considered old for Sauer(20-40fps) which is what I'm developing on ATM. With the ATI stuff too, the All-in-wonder is the non-gaming version of the card.
Also, ATI doesn't support openGL very well, so your performance will be so-so when a similar NVidia card would actually be halfway decent.
Short version: It's probably time to get a new video card anyways.

thay worked great with my old 9600 and should do wonders for a 9000 btw Arcord do u play with the shaders i could get about 50-100 fps on nmp9 with my old 9600 leavel 2 shaders

Yeah, I run on a 9550 fairly okay at 1024x768, just gotta tweak the drivers a little and turn off Catalyst AI.

I like the NVidia cards the most. I got a Geforce 7800 and it works very well with the graphics set at max. I would suggest you get a NVidia.

Figure I might as well mention this:
I was just playing around with all the display settings. Turning them all up (except FSAA only supports up to 4x) and turning on bloom, I got about 15 FPS on skycastle.
Turning everything all the way down, I got around 40.
For reference, this is an ATI Radeon X1600 with the 8.41.7 driver.
