Ten minutes of gameplay is nothing like two hours of fragging!
http://drakas.woop.us/tmp/fest-oct.jpg
The highly successful Woop clan's fragfest is coming this October!
Sauerbraten games will happen on Sunday, the 21st October:

We will have a number of server that will be limited to 24 people.
We will announce the server names on IRC (#woop-clan @ irc.gamesurge.net). Anyone is welcome - no matter what skill or clan - as long as your ping is fine!
Thank You!
See you there!

Heheheh... I can't wait 'till BF gets to the point that it's stable enough to let you guys play it on a huge server. I can just imagine the walls of lead now.

This looks interesting. I might have to try this out. I just hope that my ping stays low. My crappy verizon internet has been acting up lately. What is the highest ping you guys will allow? Mine was at 60 about a month ago but now it is up to 160 and sometimes even 210.

Up to 400, providing that pj (packet jump) stays low.

To clear up any time confusion, use a time converter: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

This should be fun! I have actually never played my map online before. It turned out pretty good for not being playtested at all =)

Does it really matter where you put it?
Oh, and I'm gonna see if I can show up.
Can we hit ph-capture in FFA mode after the fragging is over? I found a good perfnade spot that lets you get on top of the level there :D

You and your perfnading. LOL. If you remember our weird perfnading map. Sorry that this is a little off topic.

Yes, it matters :)
We're running 3 fests on 3 continents, each continent will have its own server. The reasons are:
1) Timezones - so everyone can play.
2) Latency - Having it on the same continent improves latency for the people most likely to play (due to 1) )
3) Availability - we already pay for a physical host per continent, so there's no cost to us for doing so

And I was indeed joking about the karaoke part.
God I hope nobody's that dumb when it's fragtime. It's still scheduled for the 21st, right?

My ping sucks balls sometimes by the way, but I don't think it matters much, I still get my butt shot off ten times a minute :(

Oh, if I were participating, I'd do the karaoke for sure.
But 10 PM on a Sunday is no good for me. Saturday afternoons are better.

Update: http://woop.us/fest :
The servers will be announced on the IRC channel (http://woop.us/talk ). If you are not interested in IRC, then the Wars (http://woop.us/wars ) page will list the servers - pick the first of the game's geographical location. However, there's an exception for US games - we will use European servers instead.
