Heh, is any good coder out there who could do the job ?

i have made i homepage for this project
http://kickme.to/dccube
exspecially for this port i would make some new Hud-guns with a new design. And better Textures

would be great if cube would be ported to the Dreamcast

Dont make new threads for this sort of one of comment, use the genral forum instead, also NEVER assume that you can find a proggrammer for a project you want to do. Us amature programmers basically do what appeals to us at the time, find your programmer, then worry about the site (and dont ask me, i aint intrested!)

Yeah, sure, first thing I do when you finish your port. Hell, I'd even buy an XBox if you ported Cube to it.

#5: GBA

I'd like to see a Gameboy advance port :) It should be possible.. it can handle doom.. vrally3 has some awsome 3d graphics. But i guess it'd require a full rewrite of the code, as it's software only, and lots of ASM optimizations.

a gba port would most probably be close to impossible (at least withouht HUGE cutbacks) for example items could no longer be models (too polygon intensive) instead sprites would need to be used, you can give up on coloured lighting, and for that matter most things (including link-up) now too. The gba is a nice platform for fairly simple games, but it is a horrible one for 3d games, hence why doom runs quite poorly. and if you think about the minimum specs of doom in comparison to cube the diffrence is huge.

Ouch, all that and i havent even mentioned control, sound and texture space etc. issues. Really i think its beyond hope, sorry to burst the bubble. Nice idea though,

Somebody port Cube to the Atari! That would be wicked! I even made you a webpage.

yeah.. guess you're right. i think a similar engine could be done tho, but cubes would have to be at least 4x the size etc. The GBA can handle quite a lot of stuff.. but it has to be made in totally different ways than it is on the PC. Good looking and smooth 3d graphics has been done, just not for a FPS.

Pushplay : lmfao :D

An XBoX port would be much easier because of the similar architecture.
