Sauerbraten hardware census

Just out of interest (due to a discussion I had lately):

How fast is the computer use to play Sauerbraten? Or more specifically is one of the big reason why you play Sauerbraten that it runs nicely on your low spec PC?

Contribute like this please (as an example my system):

------
OS: Kubuntu Linux
CPU: Core2duo @ 2Ghz
GPU: GeforceGO 7700 with 512MB
Mem: 2GB
Res: 1440x900

Reson for playing Sauerbraten: Runs on Linux and has a nice old school gameplay !
------

Please contribute as it would be really important for future development to know what the target hardware base of the core fan base is.

OS: Fedora Core 5
CPU: Opteron 246 (2.2GHz) *
GPU: nVidia GeForce 6060 (fanless)
Mem: 1GB DDR-400, (dual channel)
Res: 1920x1200

My board supports 2xDual core; since the price for Opteron 275's has gone down, I intend to upgrade when I get the cash. I'll need to up my memory then, which pushes the price up :-(

Reason for playing? It's fun, engrossing, challenging, social; people make better opponents than bots. Runs on Linux compiled for the x86_64 (Cube won't connect if hand-compiled).

Great game.

Just to make sure :)

Oh and thanks for the contributions so far.

Ubuntu 6.04
Athlon 2400+
768mb pc133
basic soundblaster-16 sound
nvidia 7600gs 512mb
120 gig drive space
56k external modem

runs smooth with no problems
I can't wait to get summer edition

I love sauerbraten because its the world's coolest lego set and you can shoot things too. Its fun to learn how to do things with it. Its worth learning to program for. ( except I'm too lazy and have real life to deal with first )

Oh and even if it looks different right now... this is not a "who has the fastest PC" thread.
If you have a slow PC make yourself heared!

And come to think of it, I'll be needing a new video card and some ram sometime in the near future. I need recommendations for the video card from users who get great performance on sauer.

Also, it has to be AGP8x. No PCI Express here.

Sauerbraten: found it when a friend gave a link to Cube. Since then I deleted all other FPSes I've had. Just load of fun!

Well gf6600gt comes to mind. That´s a good AGP card for sauer. Nvidia works a ton better with Sauerbraten than ati cards. (because of ati´s lousy opengl support).

Mem.. no idea..

OS: WinXp
CPU: Amd 64 3000+

Sauer: Found the GUI edition would run on my new computer, so I started playing it instead of Cube.

Of course, I later realized that, had I adjusted the settings, I could have plaed Sauer on my old computer.

OS: WinXP MCE (oh god)
CPU: Pentium D 2.xx GHz (possibly 2MB of cache, too lazy to check)
GPU: ATi x600 (could be x550, too lazy to check, again), 256MB
Mem: 2GB, unsure of the speed
Res: 1280x1024

Reason for playing Sauerbraten: Found Cube a few years ago, became addicted to it. I started screwing around with Sauerbraten around a year after I found it (before there ever was playable coopedit.) The fast multiplayer and cooperative map editing are addicting beyond words.
