Hello all,
I just spent alot of time making a map with a bunch of friends and then I went into singleplayer and cleaned it up a bit. But then all the sudden the game crashes in the middle of an edit and now I try to load the map and it either quits or crashes not sure, with the message "garbage in map" printed on my console. Is there any way that I can recover my map? I am using Arch Linux 2007.05 as my operating system.

Look in /packages/base.
All those .BAK files of your map are saved earlier versions.
Try renaming the latest to anyname.ogz
and load that.

It would be more clear if these were named to map.ogz.bak instead of just map.BAK.
