you rulz guys and your game too.
it's really nice and i want to play/support it.
I'm currently working on some map porting from q3 (I'm also a q3 player).
some suggestion:
I feel the need of jump pad and stuff...
some advice when i'm typing in console.
and what about bunny hop (strafe jumps works)?

jumppads would be quite easy to do... but I personally prefer teleporters and lifts.
what kind of advice do you want?
things like bunny hopping are a sideeffect of the particular physics implementation in quake. You can't reproduce this unless you copy the quake physics. Cube has its own physics, created independently of any existing physics, and thus has its own tricks and quirks (it has a strafe, or strafe+forwards speedup, it has some kind of edge accelleration etc).

HEHE, created independently of any existing physics...
the physics were made up as u went along. but they turned out nice =P

i like jumpads because it's funny to sniper a player in the air, and you can rocketjump
on them to get high place and neat tricks.
for advice i mean some kind of hilight or baloon on the player that are typing.
for avoid chat-frag
yes i know that bunny hop it's possible by a q3 engine bug (in quake 1 was a bug but id dont't patch it in the newest version).
it would be nice if u can accelerate with multiple strafe(more speed you get more skills you have =) and you can reach some place that are impossible at normal speed)
cube has great physics, doesn't need changes.(but think on bunny hop)
thank you for the quick answer

Yeah, I've seen your physics, a bunch of arbitrary constants. :) Now make us some lifts. :)
Two smilies in two sentances, bad form.

but I can tell you it was great fun making the physics... not hindered by any knowledge about correct physics, just tweak until it feels right...
"mmm the player has too much jerky movement... what am I missing? aha I know! I need friction! how does one apply friction? lets just try adding/multiplying some random number and see what we get..."
