Recently, there have been many politically charged topics going on around the forums, mostly concerning the growing resentment regarding direction and development of Sauerbraten.

During my time with you guys, I have had alot of fun, and made many new friends. I've worked with alot of you, and I have striven to make this community a better place to 'live'.

Many of you have started to connect with me on your personal feelings regarding the 'political' subjects, and opened up alot of issues which people have been very silent about. You've trusted me enough to share your thoughts on the subject and have discussed it openly with me, for that I am truly honoured, but also dismayed that people feel the need to do this secretively.

Today, Aard approached me regarding some of the posts I've made recently in the forums, and while many of them may seem initially negative, my intentions were quite the opposite.

It was in this vain that I attempted to discuss with him some of the problems I've been privy to, but unfortunately my desire to protect others had me come off as vague and trouble making. I have no desire to cause problems, and only wanted to help mend the fracture that is splitting this community.

This is where you all come in. My word alone won't change anything, but Aard seems to think if the community were united and honest with him this wouldn't be happening.

So read that, and judge for yourself. If you think you can make a difference, open your damn mouth. Either I'm the only one to ever approach him on this issue, or everybody has slowly decided that it's not worth bothering with.

At any rate, I won't be pursuing this subject any further other than to promote an open community where things actually get done, because anything I do seems to make me out to be the bad guy. It's up to everybody, including Aard, to work together, be less dismissive and secretive, and be honest.

No matter what happens, I'll always love you all (in a non gay manner of course), even Aard (despite his view on my attitude and intentions), to whom without I would not be here today. Despite the problems that have risen, I have really enjoyed working with each and every one of you to this date.

Unfortunately, I fear I may be too late to fix this one for you all.

hm i don't think you should have posted the conversation log unless you asked aard and it was ok with him.

i for one really like sauerbratens gameplay but wouldn't mind more features - a score HUD is really a necessity with the "new" GUI system. CTF would also be welcome - capture is nice, but no replacement.
