help needed please

Alright, me and a few friends are new to Action Cube. We now have a pretty good idea of how to use the editor but still can't figure out ONE thing. How do you make a room, just a box without bringing the ceiling down (because that looks horrible). In other words, how can we subtract some area from a solid to make a solid box into a room. Thanks for your help

Best way is to "dig" your way in, or paste. There's not a way to select bits of grid in a purely solid area, so you'll need to "dig" in by making a selection from one end of the solid to the other, un-solid, and then filling in what you didn't really want to un-solid.
