It´s normal that you can´t see your own package jump, everyone sees 0 there.
If they kick you for cheating, you probably only played descent and they were bloody noobs. ;)

Yep, makkE speaketh the truth :P
Obviously (if you're a legitimate player) you continuously pwned the server master, so much so that they decided to kick you off the server :)
Now, what really annoys me is being kicked for having 'too high ping'. Like.. this is Sauerbraten, not CS. The next person who does this is going to get sued by me for countryism, unfortunately we don't all live within 30m of the PC hosting the server..

I guess about 0.2% of all players know what that PJ means, and 1% of those care about it. So I think having the ping there is enough, it could be replaced e.g. by deaths. :)

PJ is a good indicator for the connection quality, and matters much more than ping with cube/cube2.
A client pinging 300 on a stable pj can be played with, a client with ping 100 and an unstable pj warps around.

This is true, however given that you cannot determine your own PJ it becomes somewhat less useful.

It might, of course, help you to know who to kick ;o)

Couldn't the server grab your packet jump and you would see that? or you pj from all the clients could be averaged to get a good representation of your own PJ.

A good example is what happens here with woop clan :)
The server is in UK.
We have one player from Kazakhstan, he has 180ms ping. But his packet jump is like 120; so it is totally unplayable.
Another player, he is from Australia, has ping of 350ms, but packet jump of 35 - 40.
Comparing them, it is unplayable with the guy from Kazakhstan, and it is just fine with the Aussie :)

Just curious, it it on the former NTL (now Virgin Media) network?
I've been asked if I'm playing on the LAN, because of my ping :o)
