Here's a starting place. My brother wrote this years ago for my CL mod. You'll have to figure out how to Windows-ify it yourself, we never got around to it, but some part of it should be useful.

I'm honestly wondering if I could do it in flash, but last time I checked flash didn't do external commands. I don't know if anything has changed since Adobe bought it or not.

Has anyone managed to make the VWEPS work? I've uncommented the FPS render code for it, added in the models, tweaked sizes like crazy, have all the tags in the correct location and I still can't get them to show up. Uncommenting the code by itself and hoping that it works with the models in the appropriate directories only results in a crash when compiled.

I did. After dragging through the forums with a comb, I'm wondering if it could be because the models are MD3. Can anyone confirm that?

If you are using md3 vweps, then you need an md3 player model with an appropriate "tag_weapon" tag. However, they still will probably be oriented entirely wrong unless you are using CVS.

Yep, using solely md3s, have a single poly tag in the right hand called tag_weapon, copied weapon models into the vweps directory.. Dunno. Might just have to have a universal gun on the player models for now.

Sorry - still working on the massive city map and some code stuff. The city map is so large that once it's done, it'll be partitioned off to make two smaller multiplayer maps and the large version will be included in the single player as a level.

I would like u finish this mod this week or at least the next 4 or less weeks(or at least just 2 months)...if u end this when the new sauer release comes this would be just like a assault cube mode that makes it better but not better as the new release...this thing has stayed like almost a year and ur already working on it? plz would u make a beta so we play multiplayer only or sinlgeplayer only so we dont wait too much...

It'll be kept current with Sauer, so it'll probably come out *after* the next Sauer release, or it'll be a CVS version. To be honestly, when it comes to the engine I'm not the best person to ask about when the next version will be out.

*But* the alpha is almost done. The official answer is, it's done when it's ready.

Nope. Just busy - One more map to finish and a few sounds, plus maybe some base resources. Hopefully it will be done this week or next. Since I'm the only guy working on this thing(besides some occasional help from Quin) it's slow going, and updating pics and web stuff is definitely a distant second on the priority list.

The city maps are a no-go, they're simply too large to have any meaningful gameplay without 100+ players, so I've been working on maps to replace them.

The gameplay aspects for this release are done(thanks to Quin for all the help), new models are finished, and everything is in line with the new version of Sauer.

That being said, it will be stand-alone, instead of being installed on top of sauerbraten. Since it doesn't use any of the Sauer resources except for the code(which has been changed around a bit) it doesn't make any sense to do it another way.

Multi-player only right now - The AI is just not ready for SP. To that end, the next version will be utilizing sauermod to take care of a lot of AI issues.

Blood Frontier is going to be delayed somewhat due to a very nasty virus called win32/virut that destroyed practically every exe on my machine, including all of the nice system files. Everyone will be happy to know that no progress was lost, as I had backups on hand.

It's not the lack of the data, it's really the lack of an appropriate machine to test on. The laptop isn't really up to speed. I was in the process of making sure that everything had been replaced before releasing, so once I get back up and running it will still take me one or two days.

There's also the issue of a masterserver to contend with.
