"For Linux: gunzip, chmod +x sauerbraten_unix and then ./sauerbraten_unix. Needs a decent and compliant OpenGL implementation."
http://sauerbraten.org/docs/config.html
Please forgive my n00bishness, but I have to ask: how can a C++ / openGL developer help you guys out with OpenGL complience?
There's no way this is done in SDL, are you refering to Nvidia/ARB specific extensions that don't nessesarily comply with OGL x.x?
Saurbraten has the best FPS gameplay ever and it would be an honor to help. I have a P4 2.4 Ghz, 1G ram, nVidia 6800GT, this game flys on my system. no problems whatsoever.
is this the wrong spot for this thread?

Also, if you posting this here was not welcomed, the thread would have been closed and pulled off the front forum page.
