what distribution are you using?

what user are you running it as?

do you have libstdcc++.so.6 dev files installed for your distro?

where do they reside?

i use debian 3.1 (i know its old)
i checked the lib folder but i cant find that file there...

i tryed to run it as root (shame on me :D)
i tryed to install that file by apt-get but it says packet not found :(
i think libstdcc++.so.6 dev is not installed.. but im not sure :P
if you can tell me how to install that i would be happy :)

dayyum. if you're using a 2.4 kernel I seriously doubt you could get it to work, unless you're a massiochistic guru trying to trick me.

I'm running the new Etch with Nvidia drivers. no problems whatsoever. I recommend a newer distro ;)

or you could try

apt-get libstdc++6-dev

wow really?

I had to get the

"libstdc++6-dev"

package before it would go.

dev packages are only required if you want to compile from source.

#8: symlink

create a symlink in your library folder that redirects libstdc++.so.6 to your actual libstdc. that should help.
