hello!

being a bit homebound due to a broken foot (not leg), and since being innocent owner of a capable graphics card for a few weeks now that did wonders with sauerbraten :) and the topic keeping coming up on the forum - I decided to continue the work on the free masterserver code. for your reading pleasure visit http://www.myzel.net/hungerburg/sauerteig - its just a proof of concept; yet, somebody may have a use for it.

I think there is a problem in that code. You send the current timestamp (in ms) to the servers, but I think that this will overflow. If I remember correctly, this number will not fit in the ints that you can send to or receive from the servers, and thus, your ping time will be wrong.

I usually just send the ms since the master started to the servers, this number is sufficently small enough for quite a while =).

I corrected the bug :) The script now gives reasonable ping times on localhost - I really thought, the perl interpreter was sucking up that much time!
