LfL is back and i`ve got a problem

by [LfL] Carsten on 10/11/2002 14:19, 5 messages, last message: 10/19/2002 07:15, 931 views, last view: 04/24/2024 15:10

Hi,
with the next cube release there will be a comeback of LfL!
If you want to join, send me an email ;)

My problem:

When I quit Cube, Internet Explorer says:
"IE has found a problem!\"
And all IE-windows "stürtzen ab" (What`s that in English?)
I hope you can fix this bug in the next cube-release :)

CU Carsten

#1: I assure you

... that this is not a cube problem, but a problem of your particular setup.

by Corvus on 10/19/2002 06:03

Das kannst das Wort 1 zu 1 übersetzen.

You can translate this word 1 to 1.

Wie Flugzeugabsturz (Plane-crash)
like plane-crash (Flugzeugabsturz)

ist das ein "software crash"
this is a "Softwareabsturz"

Kommt von "to crash"
comes from "abstürzen"

(headcrash (Festplatten) car-crash, ...)

Unlike "abstürzen" = "falling from high above (sky, cliff, mountains) this way trashing oneself", "crash" has a more unspecific meaning alike ordinary collisions or else, when stuff gets trashed. (headcrash (Harddisks), car-crash, ...)

"Absturz" therefore means destruction through (or "after" ;) falling, crash on the other side destruction through collision.

Or better: "Absturz" is destruction through collision with the ground, crash is destruction throgh collision between any objects.

Shit man, that crap's more complicated then i thought.
