spring edition requirements

by Absinthe on 04/24/2007 20:46, 3 messages, last message: 04/26/2007 09:45, 1012 views, last view: 04/27/2024 04:24

Does the Spring Edition have higher hardware requirements? On my 13" Macbook, 512 RAM, Core Duo 1.83, OS X 10.4.9, the game takes extremely long to load (not a gaming computer at all, I'll admit), and then crashes the entire system, leaving a bunch of black lines on the menu bar. It happens when I run it in windowed mode and use Expose (Like Windows Flip 3D) to switch windows.

I can run it on a ibook g3 so i dont think the reqirements are too high. It looks like shit but i can play it well. I play it on my macbook pro and its fine. Try playing with the settings, turing caustics off even though they are scipted or turing grass off may help. Expose runs fine on mine and can even do it fullscreen. Try to turn off widgets and un needed programs since you dont have a super powerful computer.

you should disable shaders because the macbook only has integrated graphics.
