hi all!
does anyone know how to start a server that does not show up in the masterserver list but can actually be accessed using it's ip (from everywhere not just the local network)?
we'll start the league and would like to host a server for the instagib division, but dont want it to be accessible through the masterserver list but by entering "/connect [ip]"... (in order tu ensure that it is most of the times free and available for the games which it rather is not when it is on the masterserver's list)
is there a way to do that or do we have to mod?
thanks!

thanks, but we read that.
...it does not work: if you use /mlocalhost or even /makesnosense.com/ the server still shows up on the masterlist... try it!
any other suggestions?

Are you using /mlocalhost
because its a command line option. You have to put it in the bat file. So it would be like -mlocalhost

-mlocalhost works for me. I just had to wait a long time until the masterserver unregistered my server. Then it worked fine...

When you register your server, it will be on the masterserver for about an hour. So make sure that you don't start a server without '-m' ;-)

Also you could use the use of passwords to aid you. If you make the server have a certain password to join each round, and on the website it tells you the password for your round. If the password changes every match then that makes it so no one can join your server that is not wanted.

Tried it, but says cannot connect and it takes not a little CPU, ALL OF THE SPEED. I used -mlocalhost, and -i makes it crash, I just want a LAN server, online is broke for me.
