Have any of you made money off of your games you made?

I'm talking about the games that you have made with Sauerbraten.

Also, can you make your own weapons and put them in this game or do you have to use the ones that come with it?

i would have to say that each game has its own feal and you should judge for yourself. I will also say that action cube is a counterstrike rip off with worse graphics/variety/ and gameplay.


Neiter currently support crouch but AC does have a scope/ zoom option. There is no look down the sight.

what kind of question is that? its not legal to make money off an engine that you dont own. you would have to buy a license of the engine and blah blah blah legal mumbo jumbo

i don't think you know your liscences fully.

All of the Media In sauerbraten is copyrighted.... but as long as it is replaced... I guess one could sell the media, and just so happen to have the source and binaries included as a 'freebie'

So, IF I were to download Sauerbraten and would want to sell the game I make, what would I have to do to be able to sell it. Make my own guns, and models, and textures or what? What is considered media in Sauerbraten?

Is it even possible to sell the game I make even if I do make it?

You would have to make your own guns, models, textures, sounds and maps. all of those are considered media. I dont know if you are able to sell it, but Linux is open-source and the people who make the Red Hat versions sell it so maybe..
