Just finished part one of my scripting tutorial, teaching how to use aliases and custom .cfg files, more to follow on a when i get round to it basis

in case your wondering i didnt do the hyperlink thing for a reason, specifically my site and it dont seem to like each other, just copy and paste the address and it should work fine

because things like:
bind V [alias num (+ num 1); echo $num]
will not work.

Yes, all my code is fully tested, double checking... Yep definatly works, why shouldn't it???

Near as I can tell it should be:
bind V [alias num (+ $num 1); echo $num]
But what's really weird is that I tested your code and it does what it seems you intended.

I found the same thing when I was looking over the tut. I didn't believe the code would work without '$' until I tried it!
Weird :)
Any ideas, Aard?

a variable without the $ just evaluates to 0... so appearently it works with 0 :)
