Anyone know of any other game engines that are customizable like Cube, but have a bit more to play with?
I want a game engine with graphics that are at least as good as doom with the ability to edit more.
Anyone know of anything good to use?
I really wanna make an internet/LAN FPS with bot support that allows me to make custom weapons, player models, levels, and sounds.
Thanks

I've been following crystal space for a long time, and yet it does look promisign, I would still use Cube over it any day. I want something similiar to cube, but have it be more oriented towards creating your own game, instead of a really customizable game.

Have you tried Quake :)
I understand that most things are codeable with it!

You might want to try playing with the source from Doom or Quake. The source has been examined by a pretty large number of people so you should be able to find help when you need it. And people are still working on better level editors, at least for Doom (eg: Why).

the quake 1&2 engines are hard to beat, especially since you'll have the largest amount of tools of any engine to produce your content with.

Well it's a choice ain't it ?
jDoom or 3d Doom may be better, try here http://www.doomsdayhq.com/ http://www.doomworld.com/doom3d/screenshots.html http://www.doomworld.com/doomgl/zdoomgl.htm
Though it would be nice if someone can come up with a doom.exe replacement.
