Clicking and dragging with Middle Mouse Button...

by conorkirk@gmail.com on 02/26/2007 03:24, 8 messages, last message: 03/13/2007 05:18, 1137 views, last view: 04/14/2024 05:10

Clicking and dragging with the middle mouse button on my mouse does not select corners, nor does single clicking on a corner, it just selects the whole cube.

What Keybind would I use to fix this?

Thanks,
[IBF]Conor

The best/easiest way to resolve config issues is to just delete the config files - config.cfg and autoexec.cfg if you have it. Then run Sauerbraten, and the default settings will be restored in a newly-created config.cfg file.

But, this individual line of my config.cfg file is:
editbind \"MOUSE3\" [ selcorners ]

The forum system seems to have added backslashes to the line above.

Ignore the backslashes before the quotes, do not put those in your .cfg file.

Just try and move your config.cfg file somewhere, it then should put to the defaults, so it'd work ;-)

same here...it selects the whole cube but with an outline of the corner, but doesn't do a thing to the corner, what ever i do with it it does to the whole cube.

Maybe because which corner you have selected only applied to commands which apply to corners (like 'Q' / modifier 3 to angle corners). The 'selcorners' command just lets you select the corner easier. I personally don't use it because you can select specific corners by selecting the correct side of the cube and simply pointing toward the corner you want to modify.

Huh?

How would I rebind this to my wheel?

It is kinda hard choosing individual corners with \"Q\"
