Getting for no reason:

I was looking for a game or a sever to pop into, so I joined the bsd.homelinux server...


Two people were in there and after flying around in spectator mode, I got banned.

Congratulations.. what do you want the forum dwellers to do about it?

Mastermode allows this kind of behaviour. Sure, the guys who banned you are pricks for not even stating a reason why you had to be banned, or maybe asking you to leave if they were coop-editing, but nothing can be done, and running around here naming certain servers doesn't do anything either.

The homelinux server has been around for ages, I'm sure the server admin isn't out to get you for no reason, its just another case of stupidity on the internet.

Hmm.. a little harsh, don't take offense at what I said, but still, theres nothing anyone can do about it.

Just hop on another server :)

It's fine, I see your point, there is nothing that can reall be done to combat this misuse of mastermode.

What about unless you enter a password, you can't instantly kick, like the players would have to vote?

The person running that server should just not advertise on the masterserver list...I'll agree with Passa, just join another server.

I'll also say, that server admin is making it hard on him/herself if they don't want the public on the server, but they are running on the masterserver list. This is most likely another person that can read a download link, but not the documentation that comes with said download.
