Mapping and AI

im new to mapping but i hvae an idea how to move the cubes, how do i make it so that there are different textures used, how do i make the blocks half size or have diagonal parts, also how do i insert AI?

i have another question, when i export my model into md2 and i replace it with another model it wont show up any ideas?
