when i enter escape to have the menu i get this:
unknow command: Showmenu
what can i do tho this?

Default settings (aliases, keybidings) are only loaded on first run of the game (eg. when config.cfg is not present), otherwise it loads your saved settings from config.cfg.

Since the GUI edition, menu commands have changed, and hence, as Quin explained, if you install a new version of Sauerbraten over an older one, it'll load your older config, and won't work.

Bleh gotta turn off the PC, storm is raaaging now (right after two days of straight bushfires and two weeks for 40 degrees celcius..)

why not modify the installer (windows) so it can't happen? this seems to come up so often...
