Hi there. I\'m in the process of finishing a new map for Sauerbraten, but I really don\'t know ANYTHING about modifying models, so I\'m asking if anyone can lend me a hand and help me doing it for me. The modifications are to current mapmodels, and are in fact, REALLY simple.
The first one would be taking the mapmodel 31, wich is candle in a foot lamp, and erasing the \"fire\" so it would look off. Just that idiotic thing.
For the second one I would like to contact whoever wants to help me to talk in real time, it\'s just resizing one of the gigantic trees that are in the game.
Of course, full acreditation will be given in the map\'s readme. Thanks for your time and hope to see some replies.

i think the problem would
be in altering other peoples
artistic assets. if you want
an unlit candle youll have
to model your own. unless you
have permission from whoever
made that candle (or whatever
their legalese says for that
model) i know it seems a daunting
task to model your assets from
scratch but it is the honest and
legal thing to do.
i would recommend blender.
free software.
helpful community.

You're right, I forgot that little detail. I shall contact the creator and for permission. Thanks for the reminder =)

Well, if all you are wanting is a change on the skin....You could make your own skin for the model, and just load it via the map.cfg...and leave the original skin alone. Please do not ask how to do this, as it's included in the docs in the sauerbraten packages...RTFM :)
