Does the regular ol' CVS Sauerbraten (sauerbraten.bat) work for you?

Quin: Yes, CVS Sauerbraten works just fine, with the mod folder in, and without it.
In fact, I am able to get Sauermod to start up (Not KRS or SSP, just plain) without it being in the sauerbraten folder, I just get a Redhot with lots of missing textures :P

Not sure then;
* Does it still happen with the latest CVS editions?
* What platform are you running on?
* Are you compiling your own binaries? (this is more necessary on *nix than Windows).
* Is anyone else having this problem?

Quin:
1) I will check, if you mean you updated, if not, sauerbraten CVS (latest works fine, but sauermod doesn't)
2) Win32
3) I tried using your prebuilt's and compiling my own.
4) people, speak up! :)

lol, shows just how buggy and unfinished it is :P
Now, what you need to get excited about is SSP, did you get the rest of it working?
I know the FPS is a bit unstable at the moment, I'm working heavily on the server and bots.

It'd be a stronger video if you had someone (with a clear voice, please) talking about what we're supposed to be noticing. The average Sauer player won't pick up on what's needed for vehicle to work. It'd also be better if it wasn't so long, though I like that it's not laden down with credits.

wow.... the levels are awesome and the gameplay looks really "finished". the guy (i kept thinking that the model looks like samus from the shape, what is it?) ran alittle to fast but other than that, i sure hope you aren't keeping that car texture ;)

I can't tell due to the bad video quality, but I think it's just IronSnout, the new default Sauerbraten player model.

Quin, Did you ever play an old game called Abuse, by any chance? If not... Well worth hunting down.

#98: I spent about 3 solid months on the code, it //is near// finished. The model is the new Ironsnout, now available in Sauer's CVS.
#101: Yeah, I played Abuse back in my Linux days. Was one of a few projects that have inspired me over the years with the idea of a 3D Side Scroller (I've seen others done in Quake/UT too).
ALL: I've been looking at using lunaran's textures to make a level for SSP.
The levels now, while technically impressive, only serve to demonstrate basic gameplay/code (I only made them up as demo levels and suck at mapping).

Heh, now that's what I'm talking about. SSP is more refined and has more possibilities at the moment.
I'm not even working on KRS again until after the next release at least, when SauerMod can gain more attention from those actually able to assist in its development. It was more made so far as a proof of concept, and is nothing like the grand design.
Something of that magnitude will require more than just one person. Even SSP, with all its wonderful gameplay ideas, loses points because I can't map all that well or all that fast, the "Bonus Maps" contributed by others are far better than mine (both aesthetically and playability).
There are, also, other things I have planned as well, and as far as hobbyist things goes, I'll always be working on whatever I'm most passionate about and interested in.

I've just gone through and updated the documentation/wiki to show the latest commands and variables. You can check it out at:
http://sauermod.wiki.sourceforge.net/
Most notable of additions is the descriptions for all SSP variables and commands, enjoy! Feedback, suggestions, etc, are always welcome.
