http://www.google.de/search?q=aclocal+%2Bubuntu
try autotools-dev and automake/autoconf packages.

Hello, I\'m getting exactly the same error under Ubuntu edgy, but without the aclocal comman not found error... So that is not the problem here ( I have 1.9 installed ) Anyone knows how to solve this?

Ubuntu doesn't come w/ everything you need to build programs. Silly Ubuntu developers think the repository is good enough :P

Repositories are never big enough nor up to date. Except gentoo and arch but those are "difficult" distros that rarely have noobs running them and asking stupid questions like this.

Only Debian testing/unstable reps are good enough :)
Screw Ubuntu, it's too newb-friendly ;)

Yeah Yeah, Ubuntu is shit but I love it... At least the user forum is more friendly there... Anyway, I already had all the dev files installed, as well as build essential. So, can anybody give me a good answer instead of taking the shit out of other distros?

Thanks
