I managed to install the game and Everything is working !
But... at 1280x1024 I only have 25 FPS !!!
I also have installed QUAKE III, UNREAL and UNREAL TOURNAMENT and in those games at the same resolution I got around 135 FPS.
Is there something I can do to improve game performance ?
My system is ATHLON XP 3200 + GEFORCE FX 5600 with NVIDIA 9629 drivers.
Thanks

eihrul,
Thanks for your quick reply !
but, my problem is only with sauerbraten.
I installed CUBE and at 1280x1024 I also got around 130 FPS. So, it must be something in sauerbraten config file (i guess)

Use "/shaderdetail 0" before resorting to "-f0", as it disables more than just shaders.

Installation on Win98 (350MHz, Riva 128ZX, 1024x768 LCD screen) seemed to work, but after starting the cube.bat the command sdl only echoes the message "unknown commandline argument"
fps is about 25 to 29, but any reaction takes some seconds. After pressing the ESC-key it takes six seconds to open the menu. Walking around is quite frustrating, playing is futile.

Please don't double-post!
re: "unknown commandline option" ...

Does UT 2004 run on that machine? Most probably not. Do you complain to Epic? No.
Sauer won't run any good on such an old machine.

he's trying to run Cube (cube1) and actually I found his post not to be "a complaint" but one of the better "troubleshooting requests" seen on these forums ;-)

Riva 128ZX is one OLD video card, but I would expect cube1 to run fair on it. I used to have a Riva 128ZX with 8mb's, but I know there were 4mb cards as well...is this too little video ram to run cube1?

Considering that Cube 2 lags on a 64MB card, yes!

@andido67:
The command -f0 is for Sauerbraten. Cube and your GFX Card don't support shaders. ;)
@TetrisMaster512:
I can remember somebody on this forum already said that Sauerbraten runs better in some cases then cube. Perhaps because Sauerbraten use technics like VBOs?!
