No, the ZLIB license does NOT require you to provide the source code to the best of my knowleldge, just to provide a notice saying that it's based on Sauer.

yep, and you can commercialize; which means you can private label, and do a bunch of other marketing gimmickry to hide its true author as long as you have the financial backing to defend yourself in court.

#3: Non Explosive gun damage

by Der/Nalia on 12/03/2006 22:23

I'm working on a Laser tag mod, ss.faithnation.com, and i have the damage start at 0 and whenever you get hit, you are disabled for so many seconds. the Rocket Launcher and Grenade Launcher causes damage when I'm hit, but when I'm shot with a rifle or pistol, nothing happens, I'm wondering where the code is where these types of guns cause damage. The ray produced by the guns are colliding with the player.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I don't know, but sorry, I don't really see the point of a laser tag mod.

Doesn't make sense. Not any less violent than gun games.

Looking nice, that character mesh looks exactly like a Halo guy though.. :] I must say that being frozen doesn't sound too much fun, but if that's your only option I guess that's that. If it turns out you haven't fixed the weapons, bear in mind that explosion damage is based on the sphere of the explosion rather than a ray - like the other guns.

Etahn592 and I are working on the game the entire year for a class for our senior year in high school. we don't have any computer classes, so, we talked to the important people in the school to get it intially set up in the beginning of the year. we started out with mapping our school to impress the principle. its exact down to the nearest foot.

The character was actually a halo guy, we tried changing it, but no matter what we do, everyone thinks its halo, quite hilarious, really.

When "disabled" you can still move around and stuff, you just can't shoot. Thanks for the advice guys, i have to do some homework before i start on the gun ray thing... Thank you!

Good luck with your school project (I actually have to do the same thing.. except the game has to be educational.. me and my mates still want to use Sauerbraten though :)
