Sauerville is a collaborative building environment.
Sauerville also requires a slightly modified client. The executable file for windows & linux are available via the patch program.

I hope the sauerville map continues to be filled with more wonderfull geometry... sometime when its close to full, it be worth it to reclaim the most neglected plots so people can improve them to bring the whole thing up to a similar standard.

I guese the patch.exe can also run on Linux with mono. But I dont know how difficult it is the install mono. (I hope a apt-get will do it)

No. You can run around in the maps alone, or fight some monsters in them (dmsp mode) or play one of the singleplayer maps.

Its up for me.
Trust me, when you home host, ANYTHING can go wrong. Anyone who is a constant visitor of my Sauer/Cube/AC servers will know that sometimes they just aren't online, and it can be for a huge number of reasons.
