I guess what happens is that they get the general thread, realize that they are not going to get the max attention they "deserve", and then go back. Or maybe they truely believe every question they come up with is a general discussion topic.

From what I can tell, one of the upcoming forum features sleepy is doing includes moving such posts to the general thread :)
