Serverlist not working new install?

I just downloaded the latest version and I go in to multiplayer> update serverlist from master. After its complete i'm only seeing like 3 servers. The rest say waiting for response. Is there something i'm missing or are there that few people playing?

Check your ports are open??

There are more than three servers for the Water edition.

Its retrieving the list just fine but there are no servers.

yeah, I only see 3 servers lately too.
But I happen to know there are some more servers active ...
... I suspect the length of the list is responsible, if I manually reduce the list length (outside of sauerbraten) it finds more!

Yeah some servers appear on the list sometimes and other times they don't. I've actually got mine off atm (I went over my download limit again and got shaped :( )

are you on Windows? running zonealarm?
make sauerbraten run as server ... that'll fix it

But it might also be the masterserver - it's not up 100% of the time - no server ever is. ;)
