I think there should be a map creator for mac, windows, and linux. We need new maps because these built-in maps are getting borring like Counter-stike built-in maps.

"Level editing has never been so much fun: a press of a key allows you to modify the geometry / textures / entities in-game, on the fly. Even more novel, you can make maps together with others online, in the unique "coop edit" mode (!)"

Quoted from the main page of this website...

One of the real beauties is the level-editor, i have never seen a game wich had a level-editor so nicely fitted within.

It feels a bit odd at first after you press E, but once you get the hang of it. There are very few limitations, some things Sauer can't do while others can, but with a healthy dose of imagination you should and could work around those.

Its an awesome way to channel your creativity.. sometimes I just 'sketch' things in Sauerbraten, alot of cool lighting things, or whatever.

Playing around with the new water is fun too. Only thing I enjoy editing with really (its so.. hands on! :)

lol

yeah, editing in a 3D world is easier (although, I admit, time consuming) compared to mapping in something like Hammer or a doom map editor

Yeah, I use the Sauer editor a lot to prototype maps for GTKRadiant. It would be really cool for someone to make an exporter from Sauer .ogz to Radiant .map.

This has been discussed. Look into the writeobj command.
