Does anybody play cube 1 multiplayer?

Yep. There are plenty of servers for it too still. Its got the most classic instagib feel ever, so its not going to be superseeded by Sauerbraten for a while, plus runs on older PCs.

But its player base is rapidly shrinking (well I'm going by the fact that I get far more players on my Sauerbraten server than Cube; my Sauerbraten server averages 2 or 3 players at any time, and my Cube server gets about a 1 on 1 match once a day).

I do recall a time when i could make a cube server and get 6-9 people on it. Now i think i can only get about 3 (including myself)

How does cube 1/2 play over a dialup conection? Possible? Another Question I ahve is how editable is the script?

Cube and cube2 are the best fps games to play on dialup. You won´t notice any diffrence really whether you have ping 30 or 200. ;)

It works fine with 2-4 or 5 players (depends on the quiality of your phone line), with more players a dialup can become insufficient.

Just give it a try it works quite good. You can even host up to a 4 player game.
I used to host 1on1 matches on 56k ;)
