A thank you to contributors...

I'd just like to send a few words out to anyone who has contributed anything (code, art, maps, cfgs, bug fixes, or whatever else) that is or has been in the main Sauer distribution, whether you're still around or moved on: without you Sauerbraten would be nothing more than an empty pile of code. It's the content that makes Sauer fly.

To all other users: often a lot of praise is piled on Aard, but every once in a while, if you feel like it, don't hesitate to give recognition to the other guys who contributed to stuff you thought was neat in the game.

I echo that sentiment. Thanks to everyone who works on Cube and Sauerbraten. Developers, mappers, modelers, composers (great music) and artists alike. Oh, and *cough cough* let's not forget that guy who makes this compile and run on 'Nix :-)

That said, I got the new water edition the other night and I'm impressed with the changes since normalmap edition. Even though games that use shaders run like shit on my system (e.g. doom3, quake4), I can't bring myself to turn it off in Sauer like I was doing before. Now I'm missing out on too much.

Nice work everyone! And what a piece of work it is.

Kudos to you all.

I'm upgrading my system completely based on the need for my sauer fix. I thank everyone involved for providing such an amazing contribution of your time and effort.

I'm not one to give praise all the time, but really, I couldn't be happier with the work our core team is doing... some of the content is of the highest quality and we're lucky to have it as part of sauer.

If you see the content effort that goes into commercial games, it should be impossible to compete, yet somehow we're still doing pretty good.
