Ti: Try not to post anything that you would look at in a video game and press the quit key. The map should be better than that.

ATI: Mean.

#8878: Re: Code Blocs SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dev-C++ is BeTTER!!!

by Quin on 08/28/2007 08:29, refers to #8863

The switch to Code::Blocks was made as it is better from a MingW point of view. I am the only one maintaining the IDE project file and no longer have Dev-C++ (nor plan to again), hence it would never be updated. I only provide the project file for an IDE as a convenience, you could be stuck with pure MingW CLI interface.

I've fixed the problem with the project file upstream, which you can get here:

http://sauerbraten.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/sauerbraten/sauerbraten/src/mingw/sauerbraten.cbp?revision=1.7

Do you want some help developing a theme for your pages? Email me at tentus@gmail.com and I'll see what I can do to help you out, your current designs hurt my eyes (and scare people away).

Did you install the summer edition in a new, fresh directory?

Titanic12: You might want to follow Tentus's suggestion. The site needs to be revamped... "There are now Summer Edition levels!!!!"? I don't see any, just an empty category for them. Cleanup on Aisle 12!

Edit the sauerbraten.bat file, and add a PAUSE on a separate line at the end of the file.

Then run the sauerbraten.bat file and check what error the console says.

There will be a lot more features on my website. One you might like is the Ability to make your own Sauerbraten blogs. You can already join a member's only area, and join the SauerWeb mailing list, and I am starting to clean things up. I said there are Summer Edition levels because I didn't want people to think that I didn't know about the Summer Edition until a few weeks after it came out.

You didn't have to lie in order to do that... And if I want a blog, I'd definitely go with a *real* blogging service (Blogger and the like).

you really need to work on it more ;)

for maps - www.quadropolis.us is the de facto map sharing site.

your site's colour scheme really hurts my eyes. Try to start with something clean (no layout elements, JUST content = plain HTML).

Mailing lists, forums ?! Really way too much! Learn about KISS (Keep it simple, stu*id!).

huh? You can't simply immerse people to use your blogging service, your forums, your mailing lists.....

Best place to get a weblog - http://www.tumblr.com/

We (woop clan) use Tumblr to post screenshots and so on. Really easy.

IF you want to start a Sauerbraten community, then ask for people's advice first, it would help you a LOT :)

If I just use plain html, everyone will say it has no style. It's just plain. That's not what I want. I want a great-looking Sauerbraten community that has a ton of features.

here, take a look at this site:
www.freewebs.com/figames/
i made that with buttons from frontpage.

also the Sauerbraten homepage has plenty of style and simplicity.
