#5909: Re: Need help configuring Cube

by theButcher on 06/19/2006 21:46, refers to #5907

If you're running on Windows, you could just not bind left and right to anything and then write an AutoIt (autoitscript.com) script to move your mouse over.

168.103.233.110 has been hacking on all servers for days. Today he was on my server under the name, Xoltra. What a dickhead. Anyway, can his IP address please be blocked on the master server all together? So he cannot even get updated server lists.

I would just ban him but whenever I go on my server some n00b has master control. Its very annoying.

simple question:
how did you come up with the name sauerbraten? no offence or anything, i love the name, but i found it translates to a certian type of pot roast... huh?

Move move move, never stand still, and pickup all the stuff lying around while you shoot everything that moves.
Armour and healthboost are the most valuable items (and quad of course).

o_O
Just went on Quadropolis, it currently has 44 people browsing it! :O

Normally its 10 at most from when I visit!

I think since the name change to Sauerbraten: Cube 2, there has been alot more page visits and downloads. There are people on my server all the time (lagging it no doubt :)

#5919: AMD64

by Introvert3d on 06/22/2006 08:55

Hello.. I'm no technical expert here but I have a question. With Cube, the source and binary have a different protocol. I am running AMD64 so the binaries do not support my processor. When Sauerbraten changes the protocol for binaries and source, can we get an AMD64 binary?

reply to this message

#5920: Re: AMD64

by Passa on 06/22/2006 09:17, refers to #5919

Cube is no longer being supported. Maybe in the future Sauerbraten: Cube 2 will include AMD64 binaries with each release, who knows. For that though, the source code includes the correct protocol version, so for Sauerbraten you could compile yourself.

#5921: State of scripting in Sauerbraten

by chombee on 06/22/2006 18:47

What is the state of scripting in sauerbraten?

I gather from searching the forum that support of languages like Python, Lua etc. was rejected in favour of a custom language, and from the changelogs it looks like scripting language support exists.

What can be done with it? Is there any sort of tutorial or introduction for it, or do I need to look into the code, and if so, where?

thanks

#5923: Mesa Drivers? What are the alternatives?

by Nick Presta on 06/23/2006 05:25

I'm running the game at 24/25FPS but moving and shooting is slow as hell.

I'm pretty sure I'm using Mesa drivers.

What else do you suggest..

by Aardappel_ on 06/23/2006 05:33, refers to #5921

we have decided to mature the existing scripting language. It is actually very powerful, though probably a bit obscure from the description. I have put on the todo to write a better doc on it :)

You have something known as a shitass video card. That happens at my school on the SiS intergrated chips. Get a real video card.

If you can't get a new GPU, try new drivers, but it most certainly will not work. Just put up with it like that, I don't have a problem.
