by FM.4k on 03/30/2006 07:57, refers to #5444

ATI 7000... most updated-drivers i could find for them. See- I recently reformatted my pc. But what doesnt make sense is that before I reformatted, the engine worked fine. But now...not...even though I have the most updated I can for this old card

ah ha, radeon 7000, i have one on my laptop and have a similar problem, all the textures are grey and all you can see is the sky..

i think it is a driver issue, try older drivers, I used the new ones then the problem popped up, the old crappy drivers that came with it work better for me

hmm it dosent link to the correct page.. damn ati,

all you should do is go to www.ati.com then click DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE > WINDOWS XP > then look at the sidebar, and click PREVIOUS DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE under the window XP subsection > choose from the 5 series catalyst drivers, 5.12 should be good

Does Sauerbraten have an option to set the monitor refresh rate it runs at? I've noticed it changes mine from 100 to something else (60?) and this is really starting to mess with my head/eyes.

Chronic, that might be due to your systems settings, try to turn vsync off or install a refresh fix (on winxp).

Passa, most lcdīs canīt refresh faster than 60hz.. ugly :P

Ive been working on my mod today.. editing code in Visual Studio.. and I just changed some of the physics, namely the height players can jump at, but now I cant seem to change the movement speed.. mainly because I cant find it in physics.cpp..

#5459: Mac OS X: Where to place the autoexec.cfg ?

by Tante Uschi on 04/01/2006 12:28

I create an autoexec.cfg and placed it into the same folder than the config.cfg but if I try to execute it with exec command ... nothing happens. Any idea ?

Kind regards.

you dont need to tell it to execute the file, that is done automatically when the game launches.

#5461: Server-Management Script

by Superdreadnought on 04/01/2006 14:45

I have updated my Sauerbraten- and Cube-Server Management Scripts for LINUX (!!!) to make it easier for u 2 host a server (I added teh possibility of using the watch-daemon to automatically restart ur server when it has crashed.
U simply have 2 customize the variables in teh upper part of the script 2 make it work on ur machine.
