Sorry, someone says
"Its because the masterserver is down, If you would like to play multiplayer open the server.bat and make your own server."
but I've opened my "server.bat" and an error message was reported:

#5215: Jugar multiplayer sin el servidor maestro |

Simplemente aņade en el archivo servers.cfg los servidores y utiliza la primera opcion de multiplayer para jugar. No uses la opcion update server list porque asi se borran los que hayas aņadido manualmente.

No there are no cheats for sp. you can lower the skill level though, type
/skill 1
before loading the map (default is 3)

well... a lot of mappers get a kick out of adding little tricks in their maps, little sidequests that really help you out. my Tutorial map (for CL) is literally riddled with little extras that can help an observant player out.

what are the command line options for outputting to the screen everything that is happening in the game? Right now it only shows how many clients are connected.. I would like for it to show the score, and who is killing who, and what is being said and so forth..

Actually you can change skill setting at any time.
Most of my maps can be made easier by pressing edit twice immediately after starting. This eliminates a lot of the teleporting monsters. It will also make "kill all to finish" maps unfinishable. Most of map readme's actually say "Do not activate edit mode when playing, gameplay will be ruined." But on the map Camera it is designed to be usable.
Edit mode also can be used as a trick. It restores your health but it also can kill you because monsters are also reset, and doors also reclose. A final possibility is to use edit mode to add powerups and/or delete enemies, but this tends to make you have to see the level before enjoying. You could add a bunch of megahealths, armors and top ammo near the start. Savemap and restart.
Don't forget savegame/quicksave, it's essential for hard or long maps. While some consider overuse to be cheap, it also can be a great training tool.

I got the "no texture_env_combine extension! ()" also, and is there any way around this without getting a new graphics card? I have one already, but it doesn't have Open GL on it.

it's an outdated way of saving performance. Aard has phased it out, so you can just ignore any mention of LOD.
LOD (Load on Demand) was a way of rendering the terrain in rougher chunks depending on how far they are from you. This could save a great deal of performance, but it always looks bad, and sometimes it causes more work for the video card and processor rather than helping them.
At least, I think that's how it went. It's early morning here and I haven't had my coffee yet.

#5229: strange effect. |

Hey, just downloaded and installed the
game, and I've encountered a very strange problem.
If you've ever used the command "noclip" in halflife, you'd come a cross the endless "mirror" effect you sometimes get.
Well, this issue is similar to that in that it doesn't render a room completely yet it correctly renders the entities it would seem, so the result becomes something like a collection of entities stuck in an endless mirror loop.
My equipment used to run this is a
450mhz computer with a TNT card stuck inside it, it has 128 megs of RAM and a
nice little harddrive of 8 gigs :P
If my hardware seems outdated, yes I agree with you! but I really couldn't find any "minimum system requirements"
posted anywhere on this site.
Anyways, it's a pretty fucking cool project!

In this case LOD rather means "level of detail" I believe :)
