Hi,
I want to host Cube on my Server with Windows XP x64 Professional.
I also forwardet the ports which were written in the manual.
It ever reports:
Your Server was not added because it did not response the ping
Bye, i want some fast help.
PS: My Router is an AVM FritzBox Fon Wlan

How would i setup a server and how would i alow people to join it directly?
Also, wehn i try to connect to multiplayer, it says it's using a diferent Cube Protocall, please help.

When I tried to start the Linux server he said (I wanna support Cube by opening a public server):
~/bin/Cube/cube> cube_unix
./bin_unix/linux_client: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
What can I do to fix this problem ?

Google it. If you´re using ubuntu or something else debian like, use your package manager.

I've started the server now (just used wrong file to start it), but I'd like to know, how I can keep the server running without having the remote-bash of my vServer opened (when I close it the server shuts down; and i cant have the bash open all the time (my PC's off from time to time))

im having trouble trying the rpg maps. is there anything special i need to do? they load and then the program quits. my pc should be able to handle them so i dont think thats the problem

the rpg maps in sauer run fine from a fresh sauer install... fps above a minimum of 24 on each of them... with my old fx5200... amazing...

I was so surprised to see a 3rd person view in Sauerbraten, really caught me off guard. Good idea, cant wait to see these rpg maps with more features.

There are two issues with debian. One, non-Free media. Two, lack of multi-user support. With One, we can get into the non-free repository but not main. With Two, we can't get into either.

Stick an ampersand after the command to run the server.
E.g
./linux_server -d -nMyServer &
Or however you run it.
The ampersand will release the terminal once you press enter - so you will be able to close the shell.
To stop the server, you will have to use killall :)
