In clientextras.cpp file, what are this few lines (render animations for models?):
// D D D D' D D D D' A A' P P' I I' R, R' E L J J'
int frame[] = { 178, 184, 190, 137, 183, 189, 197, 164, 46, 51, 54, 32, 0, 0, 40, 1, 162, 162, 67, 168 };
int range[] = { 6, 6, 8, 28, 1, 1, 1, 1, 8, 19, 4, 18, 40, 1, 6, 15, 1, 1, 1, 1 };

Give some specifics.
What OS are you using?
What video card?
Did you use the installer, a binary, or did you compile it yourself?
Did you get any error messages?

#4690: Server Status + saur server on linksys WRT54g |
|
by OCA|

Well, due to my new ISP botching the DSL modem installation, I have no ability to forward ports to the amich.dyndns.org server until they get around to actually helping with the issue. At this rate, I\'m not holding my breath.
Also, if anyone here has looked at hacking the Linksys WRT54G, I have cross compiled the Sauerbraten standalone server for it using the OpenWRT firmware toolchain. I would imagine it works would run on other firmwares so long as the uclibc version isn\'t too different. If anyone is interested, e-mail me and I can send a binary and/or source (only changes are pointing the makefile to a different g++ binary and commenting out the SDL includes in cube.h). Since a library it relies on, libstdc++.so.6, is too large to fit in the machine\'s flash, a script needs to decompresses a gzip\'d copy to ramdisk before loading sauer. I havn\'t had the chance yet to try it out with more than two players, but if it holds up under a decent player count, it might not make a bad $40 dedicated sauer server =)

#4695: NSLU2 response |

I looked at the NSLU2, but at $100 plus the cost of a USB hard disk, it was a bit out of my "weekend hack project" price range. That said, so far the wrt54g seems to be a pretty nice little machine. I didn't think to try checking the load with two players, but I plan to impliment a script to make the DMZ light turn on when utilization reaches 70 and try to have a large game on monday, tuesday, or wednesday.

#4697: amich.dyndns.org status |

Calling my ISP this morning, I actually managed to reach a tech who DIDN'T call me a liar for saying my modem wasn't in bridge mode. Ten minutes later, all was well. So amich.dyndns.org is back up =)

You must install OpenGl library on your system if you want to play with Cube. Like SDL, OpenGL is free, (perhaps Open source) and is a library for use graphics & sounds on differents Operating Systems like Win32, *inux, etc. Download and Install.

If you're referring to September, I think that was '93. Otherwise I have no clue what you're talking about.

#4703: How to release a mod? |

What is the proper way to release a mod for cube? Do you just give all the source code to sauerbraten, modified? Is it like quake where you can only run one mod at a time? I'm modifying the source code to sauerbraten right now, but I am unsure as to how to package it - in source form, or in some other form?

Just build an executable and send it to people. It's pretty early to be seriously modding the source though.
