fireballs thru trees: yes this is a bug...
I am not sure what you mean here... what is sway mode? when do they not damage you?
again, no idea what you mean here: I have never seen the RL explode on narrow walls, its aiming is pixel precise.

sway mode is what I call it when the monsters aren't alert of your present, the first two shows that no damage can be taken when they are in this mode, the last three shows what happen when you are near to a wall, same thing happens with other guns, I think http://www.usintouch.com/pwp/awalker/bugs.htm

That's funny, I've had no problems gunning baddies down in the back, and I have found the aiming to be pixle perfect.

I don't think it's the aiming and sneeking up a few seconds behind, but to someone that have some distances in defenceless mode and launching a rocket the position that are shown is a different case.

Hmmm that is certainly weird, here both actions work as normal. What video card do you have, and do you have the absolutely latest drivers for it?
No there is no way yet to record demos.

the problem then lies in your rage's opengl drivers. If the latest version doesn't improve things, only a better card will fix things.

The card does more work than I would have guessed. I've noticed that while running at 75fps, I can jump on a platform 4.5 cubes tall, but while at 32fps I couldn't even clear 4. I would have thought that something like this would be independant of the graphics card.

Why would the card be responsable for that or even aiming ?

Ok, the driver is updated, I notice some improvements, like further shots with bullets, missels, I think, but however, no damage can still be taken when they are in sway mode, other then that, then been some improvements

#253: cube & 3d cards.... |

cube uses opengl to find out where in the 3d world the pixel under the crosshair is, depth wise, and is thus used for shooting. This is perfectly legal use of opengl, however many crappy drivers only implement the opengl functionality for quake engine games correctly.
physics is fps dependant, yes, and I intend to improve this. Note that this is not trivial, almost all modern games have atleast slightly fps dependant physics (atleast all quake games have it very clearly).
There is nothing particular about the monsters "search" mode when it comes to hitting them. If you can't hit them, it isn't because they are in search mode.

Somehow I don't believe it. Anyways I think it's only from the side, because I notice that it works when directly behind, but when I try from the side, nothing happen, anyways buying a whole new graphic card, should be an option tour the problem. I mean, even if it's a rocket, it doesn't do any damage and it explodes in my face.

The power villens that take the most damage, can you make them slow like cyber demon in doom ? If you want to make there weapons powerful that is.
