#15471: Re: How can i change my scoreboard

by 'eS|tipsy on 06/30/2017 20:05, refers to #15470

This is not available in the default Sauerbraten client, to have this feature, you can use the ComEd or WC-NG Sauerbraten clients.

WCNG:

ComEd:

Have fun! :-)

Hey there,
All you need to do is have one of them type "/startlistenserver; /lanconnect", and the other just type "/lanconnect" into chat. This will work assuming both your PCs can ping each other.

#15475: editing SDL script

by 1000gamberi on 09/14/2017 10:14

hello,

has anyone tried to modify the SDL script with Xcode or something?

I'd like to change a couple of things for a wwise project, like reducing the time in air as it's been done here in this video at 2.40

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC3ujEN ... _U&index=1

or adding different pickups for the ammo as there's only one and it seems a little bit restrictive in terms of sound design.

however, it keeps giving me this error message: "AK/SoundEngine/Common/AkTypes.h not found". does anybody know what that means? I had a look and that file is there. both .cpp and .h, so why is it giving an error?

#15477: Mouse Weirdness After Windows 10 Fall Update

by YourPalMark on 11/02/2017 23:02

Has anyone else had issues with controlling their mouse after installing the Fall Creators Update? (1709, I believe it is) Every few seconds the mouse jumps either to the sky or to the ground! I've experienced this on two machines, and tried a number of mice, wired and wireless. This makes the game unplayable... help!

Thank you

Make sure you didn't recently update your graphics drivers.

If you are using an NVIDIA Optimus system, go into the NVIDIA control panel and force it to use the NVIDIA gpu.

Otherwise, I have not much idea since you've given almost no detail about your system at all.

#15482: Problem with screen resolution & windows size

by vinschenz on 04/02/2018 16:46

Hi guys,

I wanted to play Cube 2 on my integrated Intel HD graphics. Iam currently using a Dell U2718Q 4K monitor.

The resolution was previously set to 3840x2160p with my former graphics card, the GTX 1080 Ti.

When I change the resolution down to 1920x1080p, the window-size automatically changes and the game is displayed in windowed mode.

As soon as I change the resolution back to 4K, the game is displayed correctly in fullscreen mode.

Has anybody an answer to this problem?

Cheers,
vinschenz

#15483: FIlter all chat using command in autoexec.cfg?

by dopsicole on 06/17/2018 11:53

What command should i enter to filter all chat in the console in cube2 in autoexec.cfg i.e. top left chat and bottom of console. Appears in green. I can do this in options. But on closing and relaunching game options are lost.

#15484: ..

by asmanel on 07/11/2018 04:34

Chat filtering is set by three hardcoded variables :
* confilter
* miniconfilter
* fullconfilter

I didn't see them in the official documentantion

However I found this :
* https://sourceforge.net/p/sauerbraten/code/HEAD/tree/data/menus.cfg (lines 1221 to 1270)
* https://sourceforge.net/p/sauerbraten/code/HEAD/tree/data/defaults.cfg (lines 12 to 25)

Hey, those links don't work anymore? is there another way to reload the stock map? I'm also a r'tard that saved a modified map without naming it and thus saving it over my stock map.

#15487: how to install original Cube on Linux (DebianStable-based)

by AceHW on 07/19/2018 10:01

I see the last version of the original Cube is from like 2005.
I want to install it on my laptop that has 32bit pentium m cpu and 2gb ram (from like 2006) (it had 1gb when I got it from a relative)

I'm hoping it'll play well enough.

I put MX Linux (based on Debian Stable) on it (MX 17.1 32bit)

#15490: Intercept rendering into a texture

by TsubameDono on 10/23/2018 16:14

Hey fellow developpers!

I am looking for a way to intercept the rendering of Cube2: Sauerbraten into a texture.
I wish to apply some personnal post processing just before the game renders on the screen.

I have found in rendergl.cpp the gl_drawFrame function with all the calls (I assume only) to draw content.
And the rendertarget.h used to define the shadowmap or the blur with some FBO.
But I don't understand how FBO's textures are drawn on the main FBO (screen).

Is there a FBO "mixing" all the previous results and rendering it to the screen?

Could you help me in my quest to intercept the main fbo before rendering?

thank you for the help guys!

I am interested in creating a somewhat decent sized project that would involve adding a new gun. IF anyone can explain how difficult this would that would be great. Thanks

#15492: Sauerbraten System Requirements

by Maniac on 12/02/2018 02:22

Hello all. I would like to know the Windows and Mac system requirements for Sauerbraten Collect and Justice editions.

I notice that Collect crashes when run on a Pentium III system but Justice runs just fine.

Are PPC Macs supported in Collect?

TIA
