You probably should report it to the server which you are playing on; there it happens and there are people which could react on the situation.

So just Google the server or look in the Message Of The Day on that server if the website has been revealed.

#15371: Problems with AMD APU/GPU

by Taurustar on 11/23/2015 15:37

Hello

I have a problem with Cube 2 Sauerbraten with my laptop. The maps in sauerbraten takes a lot of time to load, also the framerate is quite disgusting making it variate between 80-120 FPS and non constant 60FPS. This gives a weird feeling when I play.

Also the performance fall extremly when I test my own levels (But with a intel with nvidia laptop the level has a good performance)

Any suggestions to fix this?

My Current Laptop (the one with the problem)
AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C + 6G 1.8GHZ
12GB Ram
AMD Radeon R8 M365DX GPU 2.5GB

My old laptop (with no problems)
Intel i3 3100M 2.4GHZ Dual Core
Nvidia GT620M 1GB
6GB Ram

Are the drivers correctly installed?

You might try to update them by using the next link;

#15374: Cube server lister question! Error on update from master!

by zor1984qq on 12/04/2015 21:04

how to fix CSL working? http://cubelister.sourceforge.net/

well I tried to install these thing but it seems the master server is not replying at all (i did exception via windows firewall when it asks me for connection, what port do i need to forward on my router for CSM?) I get just "Error on update from master: sauerbraten.org".

Any ideas on how to fix that problem, I do not find any info on where to find list of master servers or servers, their parameters like ports or path. The original CSM project has no info on extended configuration options.

Please help me figure out how to force these great CSM app to work ^_^

#15375: Warsow gets 2.0

by zor1984qq on 12/04/2015 21:16

Warsow gets 2.0 https://www.warsow.gg/

What a nice game to play or watch some pros games, actually I watched today few guys played and tried some of it myself.

But you know, I played nexuiz, warsow, xonotic, redeclipse and many others and still I prefer more simplicity and community around sauerbraten ^_^

Btw do we get 2015-2016 sauerbraten game updates, I see a lot of good new maps can be added from cube mappers community sites, doesnt mention how its named @_@ just forgotten....

Can someone mail me any info on if we got any updates of sauerbraten in 2016 first quarter?

#15378: Editing footstep audio playback speed

by The_Audio_Beast on 01/07/2016 11:02

Hi everyone, first post here.

I am currently redoing all the sounds in Wwise for Cube. I keep running into a problem where the audio from the player footsteps are being triggered way to fast. I really want to find a way to edit how fast or slow the game call is talking to wwise, a natural sounding footstep sequence would be ideal.

Thank you
-Jeff

@spidermonkey
My guess is your calling a function that cube 2 doesnt support (there are alot sadly) I would break your code down in smaller bits see what happens.

Are you running into a console error or are you just not getting nothing?

Where in the glsl/cubescript code are you putting this?

cuz all glsl code needs to be wrapped inside of cubescript.

Ooohh, now I see. In that case I'd either suggest looking in the sound config or, when it isn't there, it is probably hardcoded and you need to change a value in the source.

There's a couple ways you can implement a footstep sound. You can do it through CubeScript or source. In your case of the sound playing way too fast, I'm guessing the sound is being triggered every iteration of some game update loop. Is your sound file a single footstep, or is it a series of footstep sounds meant to be looped?

Oh I forgot to ask, are you using the Wwise sound editor, or the whole sound engine?
