ok Verbal the only thing that even comes close to my idea is smart AI wich means nothing a mean like you are playing online exept you are playing sp so its al AI power and they have guns like you, just like Acid arena turbo, o and doublez64, that would suck if cube was in stroes its stricly freeware i think but it would be cool if it was in a magazine or someone was handing it out when you go in a mall or its in bins for free but bying hell no

I can hardly understand this, but I will try to decode. :P

I think you're saying that I meant we're going to have smart AI that can be played online just like playing SP online. Well we will have that (hopefully, no promises) but we will also have bot play (we already do, just needs tweaking and improvements)

So, you can play online with some real people, and with some bots that (try) to act like real people. You of coarse can play this offline too.
But remember, it will never be anywhere near realistic, but fun nonetheless.


About Cube...knowing Aard it will never go retail (I know you know this, though) but for the record, I'd pay for it. Aard deserves a little bit of pay for 2 years of work. Plus, this would probably force him to keep developing it. :)

As you said, very hard to understand the majority of the above posts, but I'm glad to hear that botmatch will be in Flameshot :)

As for Aard, the *very* last thing he would want, if I read some of his previous posts correctly, is to be forced to do anything. Cube is a hobby project, written for the personal satisfaction of doing what he wants, when he wants and exactly how he wants.

yes, I couldn't have said it better. I am not against making a commercial product, but it has got to make sense. If I knew cube would be a big seller I wouldn't mind doing it, but I really doubt it would sell at all. You guys may like it and I appreciate that, but cube is not commercially viable. It doesn't contain all the stuff the more shallow gamers expect of a game.

Cube is really more of a toy than a traditional game IMO. Which is cool :)

The cube CTF site is gonna go up today, the url will be ctf.ubercuber.com . Might as well stick it in while you're updating the links.

a) use the in game master browser (esc, multiplayer)
b) use the online master server at this page ( http://wouter.fov120.com/cube/masterserver/ ) and use '/connect ip'
