I know. I added some stuff to it within the tab in the options menu and saved it. The autoexec.cfg that's on the same level as the game date folder within the application doesn't have the changes I made though, which is making me think its somewhere else. The changes are still there in the game, and stuff I add to that file, doesn't effect the game.

Try turning off GPU skeletal animation, i.e. "/gpuskel 0".

is there any way to export the texture map with the .obj so you could use it in blender or 3dgs?

where is the code where i can change player velocity? (i believe it would be funner if you moved slower[u could actually hit something])

If you can't track down the run speed, you probably shouldn't be messing with. Have you considered playing at
/gamespeed 75
or something similar? That will effectively make you run slower.

Try asking again without the exaggerated rudeness.

macs: dunno, they're some home directory somewhere
Linux: ~/.sauerbraten (~ being your home, eg /home/hirato/)
Windows: in the installation folder, unless you use -q to run it, or microsoft does something silly to force the saved files elsewhere

C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data or ...\Local Settings, maybe. Somewhere under there.

Or, under Vista, C:\Users\... and then I don't know from there. I don't have any way to check right now, but look for directory names like AppData, Roaming, etc.

I would like to announce that Aardappel, and Eihrul have done a WONDERFUL job on the bots. Keep up the good work!

Except one thing bugs me. Bots dont have names. Anyone remember Ricks Bot mod from cube?? I loved the random names it gives them, like CubeAddict (cough cough). and another thing it the server lister thing should show the number of real ppl in one spot, and beside it, the number of bots, because i notised i loaded up my server with bots to try and attract players, but my player number didnt raise. Good Job though.

just wondering, suggesting i am admin, is there is way to override the amount of bots allowd on a server, without recompiling, because i recompiled, and my game freezes after 2 seconds.

The bots were done by Quin, for the BloodFrontier project. I merely ported them back to Sauerbraten.

Bot limit you can either set "serverbotlimit" in server-init.cfg, or -gN from the command line; or use the /botlimit command from in game.

As for the rest, bots are fodder, they have generic names so they are easily identifiable online and don't count toward the number of clients so people can't artificially inflate their servers.

These are issues alot of other games suffer adversely from (nobody likes joining a 16 player game to find 15 of them are bots, even worse if the bots are pretending to be human by using random nicknames) and I don't plan to change it.
