Nice UWF for the fast reviews. :)
I think you pointed out everything from my map, and it will help me when I develop a real single player map sometime later.

There's one in sp_infidel too. Should be pretty hard to spot, but you should find a place that doesn't look quite right, involving light and color ;)

Cube Games is a set of 4 experimental and novelty maps for single player play.
The levels:
Deletia -- don't kill the monsters, delete them.
Arena Perpendicular -- Based on piglet's Arena Perpetual, but this time you have to kill all the monsters.
Maze1 -- Pacman??
sdmsp1 -- my idea of a DMSP-only level

played through the DI sp maps the other day, which was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Some of the maps are rather large/long, which is great, the detail/architecture/layout has improved much, the consistant, um, "theme" is really cool, and the modified monster models/sounds provide a funny charicature of the cube game.
I don't quite agree on the way cube is quoted:
Death Illustrated uses the Cube Engine which was created by Wouter van Oortmerssen aka Aardappel. For more information visit http://wouter.fov120.com.
for one the url is wrong, but more importantly it misrepresents the fact that DI is not only based on the engine, but on the cube *game*. In technical terms its a partial convertion, or total convertion if you want to ignore all stuff that is unmodified from the original cube.

I'm going skiing for the next couple days. I'll be here for the speedmap, but in my stead this list will have to take over for me.
The following problems may be solved with new video card drivers:
-white text
-white water
-no text
-low framerate
-black screen
-high framerate
-no sex life
-can't see coloured lights
-medium framerate
-you have a tnt2
-you have a voodoo3
-you have a wart

DI is smooth, is there any chance to introduce new features ?
Like to see break away walls, moving textures/objects and some swords :D
Can I colorize the textures as well ?

I just downloaded DI and am very impressed, particularly by the artwork on the front-end screens, which are better presented than many commercial games.
I will Probably do reviews of the SP maps in Death Illustrated at my site in the next week or so.

Yeah DI is very well done. The architecture of the maps is great. It would be nice to see monsters with different aspects from the Cube ones however.
Very nice job.

DI is more an exercise in creating good content rather than playing with the code.
